I personally don't like how it looks. It sounds pretty, but Dulce is for a dessert, not a kid.

SimoneKadele Says:

This is pronounced DOOL-say. If you want a DOOL-chay, you'd spell it the Italian way, Dolce. Dulce is Spanish and means "sweet."

Miranda082 Says:

I believe the correct pronunciation of this name is DOOL-SAY but some may choose to pronounce it DOOL-CHAY. The name is written in its Spanish form, not the Italian 'Dolce' and should be pronounced with a soft 'c'. Pronunciations aside, this name holds the image of sweet, charismatic little girl and to respond to @ headintheclouds, I completely disagree. I think Dulcie is too cutesy and that Dulcinea and Dulcea are too complicated and sound like the name of a species rather than names for a little girl. That's totally my opinion but they seem too scientific. In the end, I think Dulce is the best choice.

headintheclouds Says:

I think Dulcie, Dulcinea or Dulcea are better variants for this name. Dulce reminds me too much of the use of the actual word, like Dulce des Leche cake, and of Dolce and Gabbana, while the other variants feel like they're more distantly connected to these associations. Plus they still maintain that charm and feel you get with Dulce.
