My name is Ceara, but it is pronounced "seer-ah" rather than "keer-ah" or "Sierra." I really like my name, it's unique without being too out-there, however, I had a lot of difficulty in school with the pronunciation lol. All of my teachers and classmates thought my name was Sierra and eventually I got tired of correcting people. That's okay, though, because when I can be bothered to teach people the correct way to say it, I always get compliments, so that makes it worth it :)

Sidenote: My parents got my name from All My Children. They were going to name me Sara, but there was a woman on the show named Ceara (seer-ah) and they thought that sounded even prettier.

I know a Ceara who pronounces it "Sierra" and also one who pronounces it "Cara".
