Ambrosia combines some of the more whimsical qualities of more popular Aurora and Isabella, with a heavenly meaning. 

In Greek mythology, Ambrosia was not a goddess or other figure but literally the food and drink of the gods, said to confer immortality. The Ancient Greek word ambrosios, meaning immortal, gave rise to the Latin name Ambrosius, which became the modern Ambrose.

 A handsome name with an attractively brisk sound, and rich in literary associations via major Irish playwright Samuel Beckett, it is especially hot among celebs. Although they were a little off the mark -- Beckett hasn't even cracked the Top 100 -- we predict that it will continue to climb the US rankings.

A sassy, spunky, punchy kind of name, Dixie can also be considered a place name, one that has become problematic because of its association with the antebellum South. The Dixie Chicks recently dropped Dixie from their band name because of its association with slavery and white privilege.


The name originated from the ten-dollar bills used in French-speaking New Orleans, which came to be called dixies, or else from the Mason-Dixon line. In fact, Channing and Jenna Tatum’s use of Everly in 2013 propelled it from a rarity to the Top 200. Popular now in Canada and rising in the UK, Everly has been in the US Top 100 since 2017. 
Stylish, contemporary, and familiar, Everly is sparkly but with an edginess to it. One possible drawback to Everly, however, is that while it doesn’t rank as highly as the likes of Olivia or Emma, when you combine all the spelling variations, there are nearly 8000 girls given the name every year in the US. 
This could make it feel like a Top 20 name, ranking somewhere between Harper, Sofia, and Luna. If do you enjoy Everly then, but want something a little different, Ember, Waverly, Connelly, or simply Ever, could be alternative options.

Flynn, a charming Irish surname, is still used only quietly, despite its easygoing, casual cowboy charm, unlike Finn which is a star of this genre. Flynn was the choice of Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr for their baby boy, and is also the middle name -- used as his first -- of a son of Miranda's fellow supermodel Elle Macpherson, of Gary Oldman's son Gulliver and Marley Shelton's daughter West.
 Flynn Rider (born Eugene Fitzherbert) is the dashing animated hero of the Disney film "Tangled." On TV's "Breaking Bad", Flynn was what young Walter Jr. tried to rename himself.
