We will be having a Zelie Louise, named after Zelie and Louis Martin, the parents of St. Therese! We will be pronouncing it like jelly.

This is from the French word/name Azélie, meaning Azalea. Zélie is pronounced {zey-lee}. Notable bearer: St. Azélie "Zélie" Martin.

Zelie is supposed to rhyme with Keely! So I agree, use Zellie if you want it to rhyme with Kelly!

Our next baby girl will have this name. I'm deciding on whether or not I should spell it "Zellie," though, since inevitably the spelling "Zelie" produces confusion as to how it's supposed to be pronounced! Zellie makes it clearer that it's supposed to be pronounced to rhyme with Kelly.
