Always wondered where mom came up with Rena and what it means. No one else in the family has a name like this and I think our family is Cherokee, German and Irish. So what does it mean in Hebrew, and does it have meaning from any of these? (German, irish, or Cherokee).

What about...

Catrena, Katrena, Karena, Carena, Marena, Serena, Irena, Eirena, Arina/Arena, Verena, Darena/Darina or Zarina? Names with a bit of a stretch for Rena are Rowena, Regina and Sabrina.

My grandmother's name was Rena. I would love to name a daughter after her, without using Rena directly! Any suggestions?

This is my middle name, however, it's pronounced like Renée. Lots of mispronunciations growing up.
