Typically pronounced "Rye-ner" or "Rhiner" due to its German heritage

I think it might be pronounced "RINE-er" like how you say the beginning of rhinoceros or Ryan. Of course you can pronounce it how you want but I'm thinking about this name so I googled and a youTube pronounced it that way. I like this name.

I like how dignified this name is and I like the nickname "Rain".

Hmm.. I think out loud it sounds like "Rayna" which is a girls name, and people might think you were saying that?

That's what I came here to comment on too, haha! RAIN-er is the way I'm interpreting this name, and Mt Rainier is pronounced ray-NEER.

You can't really call "Mt. Rainier" as a place name reference for "Rainer." Two different spellings, pronunciations . . . hell, two different NAMES.
