If you like the name, that is what is important, not others' opinions.

My oldest sister's name! She is two years younger than me and her name is Kristen Megan Madeleine and the reason I love it so much is that there are so many nicknames. For my sister we always call her Kris because it's just the only thing that would suit her but for a girlier girl 'Krissie' might be better. You can also have Kristi...we've even met a Christina called Issie! The options are endless. But Kristen suits her name so well and I just think it is beautiful.

Boring and common but not terrible.

Kristen has recently started to appeal to me. It's such a sharp, clear sounding name. It's definitely a mature sounding name, but there are a few cute nns like Krissy that work well for a child.

Kristen Stewart and Kristen Bell are the reason that I love this name. I think it is a bit too common, but can still work for any little girl.

I love your name too! When I was in fifth grade I said if I ever had a little girl that I would name her Kristen. I let my son pick the middle name. I was in a bad car accident and thought I wouldn't be able to carry another child after my son. My main orthopedic was amazing and joked if I had another baby to name the baby after him. The joke was on him when his daughter, one of the OBGYN's in our group, came to discharge me from the hospital. Everyone knew my story with her dad but kept the name a secret. The OBGYN's first name - Kristen. She was like everyone knew you were doing this didn't they? I smiled and laughed. and said, everyone but your dad.. you get to tell him that yourself.
