Pronounced as YAHS-min, this masculine form of the floral Jasmine is notably used in Bosnia where it ranked in the Top 100 back in the 2010s. It is also familiar in Czechia where it has made the Top 200 a number of times since the 90s, and in Quebec where it saw some use in the 80s.
But could it work in an English speaking context, especially where the intuitive pronunciation is JAZ-min? A brave choice, but not so different in sound or style to Jasper, Sage, Haven, Forest, Austin, Wren, Ocean, Jasiah, Jasiel, and Sky. In fact, a small number of boys have received the name in its various forms over the years.
