I have a little cousin with this name and think it's adorable!

zmakqp Says:

It's a cute nickname but Ginny's real name is Ginevra anyways.

Kate Says:

I personally love Harry Potter so much, but I don't associate Ginny with it, because my mom is named Ginny (short for Virginia) and I know one other person that's also named Virginia. I'm probably biased because it's my mom's name, but personally I think Ginny (especially as a nickname for Virginia) is a really pretty, uncommon-yet-classic name. As much as I do love Harry Potter, I think you can get away with avoiding the association.

I disagree. Ginny Weasley is a great charachter, she's badass and a feminist, like Lily Evans-Potter from Harry Potter. I'd personally use Lily as a namesake but
