Mabli is the sweet Welsh variant of Mabel, first used at the beginning of the 20th-century making it a relatively modern choice. Cute but energetic with the appeal of other Welsh names like Cadi and Lowri, it has been in the England and Wales Top 1000 since 2019.

The name recently appeared in the Welsh Top 50 as part of the general trend for vintage baby names, joined as it was by the likes of Ada, Margot, Nora, and Nansi.

Marron is an uncommon feminine name with multiple potential origins. It may derive from French, where 'marron' refers to the chestnut color or the nut itself, giving the name nature-inspired connotations. Alternatively, it could be a variation of Marion or a surname adapted for use as a first name. Marron has a sophisticated, somewhat mysterious quality with its smooth sound and uncommon usage. The name remains quite rare in English-speaking countries, appealing to parents seeking truly distinctive options. Its short, two-syllable structure makes it both memorable and easy to pronounce across languages.

Martes is an unusual feminine name with multiple potential origins. In Spanish, 'martes' means 'Tuesday,' connecting it to day-name traditions found in various cultures. It may also derive from Martha, a biblical name meaning 'lady' or 'mistress,' or possibly relate to Mars, the Roman god of war. The name remains quite rare in most naming records, making it a distinctive choice. With its crisp consonants and brief two-syllable structure, Martes has a contemporary sound despite potential ancient origins. The name might appeal to parents with Spanish language connections or those seeking a truly uncommon name that still sounds familiar enough to be easily pronounced and remembered.
