Exton

An English place name and surname derived from the name of the River Exe, which runs mainly in Devon and Somerset in the southwest of England. The river's name simply means "water" from Brythonic uisk.

Robert Downey Jr. chose this name for his son, born in 2012, but it remains surprisingly uncommon. Exton peaked in 2013 when it was used for 13 baby boys.

As of October 2026, Exton ranked #9875 in US births in 2020 SSA, peaked at #6358 in 2013.
