The name Local is a boy's name of English origin meaning "from or relating to a small area, or one's own neighborhood".

Local is an unusual word name with homely connotations, bringing to mind familiar places, close-knit communities, and one's own neighborhood. While some might find it just too obscure and random as a name, it was chosen by content creator, Mandee McEvoy (ourmodernhome) for her son, born in 2026.
