Hatti

Hatti is a charming feminine name with multiple origins. It can be a diminutive form of Harriet (derived from the Germanic name meaning 'home ruler') or a variation of Hattie (traditionally a nickname for Henrietta). The name also has connections to the ancient Hatti people who preceded the Hittite empire in Anatolia. With its vintage sound, Hatti fits perfectly with the revival of early 20th-century nickname-style names. It exudes a friendly, approachable warmth with a touch of nostalgic appeal. Though not among the most common names, it has seen increased interest from parents drawn to short, sweet vintage names. Hatti combines historical depth with a playful, unpretentious character.

Pronounced HAT-ee.

As of October 2026, Hatti ranked #15751 in US births in 2025 SSA, peaked at #9129 in 2024.
