Caomi made its US debut in 2025 when it was given to more than 5 girls for the first time. Likely inspired by rising star, Kiyomi, it could share the same meaning ("pure and beautiful"), though it could also be an adaptation of Kayomi, another Japanese name meaning "good, world, beautiful" or "beautiful generation and fruit".
