Boutros

Also spelled Butrus, Boutros is the Arabic form of Peter, often used by Coptic Christians, or Christians living in the Arab world. Strong but gentle in sound, it originates from the Greek petros which means "stone". As there is no English 'P' sound in Arabic, Petros becomes Boutros.
