Beals

Beals is a rare masculine name that originated as a surname before occasionally being adopted as a first name. It derives from the Old English name 'Beald,' meaning 'bold' or 'brave,' or possibly from a geographical location. As a family name, it has Anglo-Saxon roots and was historically found in England before spreading to America. The surname connection makes it similar to other surname-turned-first-names like Hayes or Brooks. While uncommon as a first name, Beals has a distinguished sound that conveys strength and tradition. It might appeal to parents seeking a unique name with historical depths, though its rarity means it lacks established cultural associations as a given name.

Pronounced BEELZ.
