Trendy names often include modern inventions, new-fangled word names, stylish revivals, briefly popular choices, alternative spellings, and sudden, fast rising options, but this one is, well, literally Trendy. Joining the ranks of declarative and descriptive names (think Unique, Chosen, Blessing), Trendy was selected by content creator Aubree Jones for her eldest daughter, Trendy Chanelle.
 
On the subject of the unusual name, Aubree Jones has explained she wants her children to stand out, and that Trendy was a name she'd loved before her internet fame, before meeting her husband even. She hopes it will inspire her daughter to start her own trends and do her own thing, 
 
While Trendy has yet to enter the US stats, Jones's other children's names, Sunny, Zaylee, Truly, Journey, and Rocky, are all on-trend choices, in varying extents.

We hesitate to call Bandit an occupational name, any more than Rogue or Vandal are occupational names, yet its use by one of the bandmembers of My Chemical Romance (for his daughter: we're thinking only Gerard Way could pull that off) undoubtedly owes a debt to occupational cousins from Pilot to Parker.
 
 Snappy and daring though it is, it may be best reserved for celebrity babies, a mischievous pet, or as a fun nickname. While it could work as a generic nickname (like Sonny, Sport, and Chip might), it would be especially fitting with something like Benjamin, Benedict, Brandon, or Bennett. 
 
Nevertheless, celeb choices and animated characters can be influential. Bandit appears in the hit cartoon series Bluey, as the father of the title character, and possibly as a result of this, Bandit appeared in the US stats for the first time in 2024, when it was given to six boys.

Zingy and energetic, Zippy is a lively nickname that doubles up as a word name too. For a more classic, grounded origin, you could look to the Biblical Zachary — or for rarer full forms, perhaps to Zebedee, Cyprian, Zephaniah, Zeppelin, Zephyr, or Zebulon might appeal. Alternative, you could see it as a word name, associated with jubilance, energy, speed, and brightness. 
 
While Zippy has never ranked in the US stats, it could fit in with the likes of Ziggy, Ozzy, Tripp, and Teddy.
