Euphelia is a 17th-century hybrid of Euphemia and Ophelia that features in several poems of the Neoclassical and Romantic periods. The first appearance of the name in poetry is in Matthew Prior's "An Ode", where Euphelia is a snubbed lover.

Euphelia also can be found in the eponymous poem by Helen Maria Williams, where the heroine meets a tragic end.

If you do use this name, be warned that the similar-sounding Euphyllia is a genus of stony coral.
