My youngest daughter is called Yvaine. I fell in love with it whilst looking a for a Scottish name that ended in "N" (The e is silent) and the meaning. Evie is something she get's called as a nickname, and sometimes even shorter again, to Eve. Once I had named her, I heard about the name being used in the Neil Gaiman novel Stardust. After reading the book and then watching the movie, I fell in love with her name even more :) Needless to say there will not be many Yvaine's in her college classes later on, another reason for picking the name as it is unique :) xx

This is pretty, though it is tied to Stardust for me (and i liked the movie). Quite unique, but not quite my naming style.

I adore this name. Plus Evie would make a great NN. It's so elegant and unique.

I like the meaning, not the sound.
