I think this name is totally one of those baby-only names. Like a little six-month old Stellaluna is really sweet, but as an adult, it would be weird to see on a job application or something.

I think just Luna or Stella is enough. I like Luna more because I'm a fan of Harry Potter <3..... but this name is just too long. Also, if you have two girls you could use Stella and Luna.

There is a book about a bat named stellaluna. Cute name for a bat, not a kid.

For some reason, this sounds like a better name for an Italian restaurant than a person.

Or even as first and middle but having two words meshed together as a first name is weird to me.

Stellaluna, really! ? I mean, I like the book but I think the connection is too strong. And it's just like one really big smoosh. I'd say go for Stella or Luna. Preferably Stella.
