No, a nutria is an otter, which are more closely related to wolverines than to rats. Whoever liked this isn't a Spanish speaker or/and doesn't know much about animals.

clairels Says:

A nutria is a type of rat.

This name is pretty and does not sound like the snarky description. 😡 That trash Nevaeh sounds like Nivea which actually is a brand of skin cream, for crying out loud!

Theodora_Phoenix Says:

Not a bad name in general, but I prefer Neriah.

Orchid_Lover Says:

That's spelled urea.

madmaddie Says:

Okay really, what’s with the unnecessary snarkiness (in a bad way) in the description? This isn't the first time I've noticed it...the name may not by my favorite, but like I said, it’s a bit unnecessary.

maybe_someday_baby Says:

Uria: substance in urine.
Sorry, can't.

My names Zara (which is the name of a clothing line). Only once have I gotten the association with the store, all the other comments have been compliments on its uniqueness and beauty. So I agree with the ridiculous reason of not using the name because of a cosmetic association. If it's a great name and you love it, use it!

Analia Says:

I think this name is super pretty, and unusual too. I mean there are girls out there named Nevaeh---and there is a Nivea skin care line too and girls named Zara---Spanish clothing store, so really who cares. I think Nuria is adorable <3

OpheliaFlora Says:

If you had to cross off every name on your list due to a cosmetic association, you'd had no names left.

Orchid_Lover Says:

Agreed. What's up with the totally obnoxious skin cream "name info" comment? I had to google quite a bit to pull up nuria monti. Not really a bad association anyway.

OpheliaFlora Says:

A beautiful Spanish name that is totally usable but quite uncommon. Great for a bilingual baby but totally usable for any kid, no matter the heritage!
