What's the most common way to pronounce Léontine? I've heard several; lay-ohn-teen, len-teen, lay-ohn-TIE-nh, lay-ohn-tee-nah, and len-ohn-teen.

Emma is lovely!!!! I seriously contemplated it!!! The only Emma I've ever met was one of the smartest, self.-confident and kindest people I've ever met and she always did her own thing, wasnt influenced by "what's cool" etc...

But right now it looks like a Clara Lycoris ..... (Gladys) or Louisa Lycoris something (Wisteria? Marigold? Gladys? Lavender?....?). Gladys is the Welsh form of Claudia, my mum's name :)
But tbh, I personally prefer Clara Lycoris (Gladys).... But it's not just up to me, so we'll see ;)

Oh wow, you're actually a Léontine?! So jealous - I'm plain old Emma. I wish my parents had taken a leaf out of your parents' book!

Uhm, what my rambling was supposed to explain is that it's imo an uncommon name that isn't so out there people assume it's made up. It also works for Latin and Germanic languages... So yay :D

It's my name, but living in a partially French speaking country my parents decided to write "Léontine". My Italian family says Leontina, and as a kid growing up I actually liked that my name has so many different pronunciations/variations :D

In elementary somebody used to tease me becuase of my name, but I feel like he just disliked me and was looking for something to tease me about. And when he realised that I still thought my name was awesome he stopped.... :)
But besides that I've only gotten compliments for my name :)
