I would initially pronounce it Jo-nay, like Monet. If it were spelled, Jonette, then it would be easier to pronounce at just a first glance.

I am an American, and I have NEVER heard anyone pronounce the T in Monet. Ever. I don't think I would pronounce it in Jonet either...

I don't. It doesn't sound right to pronounce the T in Monet. I wouldn't go as far as saying most Americans pronounce the T but I can't say I've done a survey or anything like that and Monet doesn't often come up in conversation so I don't know. But I would say the T in Jonet.
