My little brother was almost named this if he was a girl. My parents wanted to spell it this way so they could have the nn Eme.

I have to respectfully disagree- Emelia is an Italian name, given by a relative of mine to his daughter. It's the Italian variation of Emily, not just some spelling difference to Emilia and Amelia.

In order, I like Amelia most, Emelia second and Emilia last.

I disagree with you. Emelia is a gorgeous name. The spelling itself is authentic German. It means industrious and hardworking. It IS authentic.

I agree with NB on this. Emilia or Amelia--pick one. (I'm just one of those pedantic people I guess, authenticity is quite important imo)

I agree and it's always on the names that aren't half bad, but they didn't say anything on the name summerhaze....

Nameberry is always unnecessarily snide, as I commented on another name. Sometimes it's real annoying...

What's so bad about Emelia? It's better than Emilia, to me anyway.
