I also thought it was pronounced "Bay-ard" which is the pronunciation I like. I think it's quite the gem! Perfect middle name to me :)

This is nice, as far as surname names go. I prefer the name pronounced Bay-ard rather than Bye-yard though, not sure if there's this alternative pronunciation existing. Strong and dignified-sounding, rather sounds like a first name.
