Nope, Bacchus was both Roman and Greek.
See the Wikipedia article on Dionysus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wi.... Footnote 15 shows that in Sophocles' "Oedipus the King" and Euripides "Hippolytus", the god is referred to as Bacchus. Both Sophocles and Euripides were Greek.
