I am obsessed with names. I like classic names but I am more into names that most people don't use or names with strange spellings. Most of the names on this list I would pair with another name that is more common such as Ember Skye, or Barrett Seth. Cress

Spelling variations rise and fall with the fortunes of the name they're based on, and so it is with Robyn, which ranked as high as the Top 200 from the late 1960s through the early 80s, but has dropped from national ranking in the past decade.  The original Robin is making something of a comeback...as a boys' name.

Robyn

Benton is an old English surname of a type usually given to local landowners. It is also recorded in early records as Beneton and Bentune. Benton newly returned to the Social Security list in 2011 after a forty-plus year absence, perhaps as a fresh route to Ben.
