Themis

Themis for girls#17046 US

Themis was the Titan — one of the Elder Gods (or in this case Goddesses) — of Justice and Order, usually depicted blindfolded and holding the scales of justice. The mother of the Fates and the seasons, Themis may appeal to fans of mythology, but also to those who want a name that conveys balance and order.

Pronounced as TEH-MEES in classic Greek and as THEE-mis in English, it could work as a highly unique alternative to Thea, Aurora, Artemis, and Athena. Given to five girls in a recent year, it has only ever appeared in the US stats 3 times, though it has seen more use in Brazil, Greece, and Cyprus.
