Ozmar is likely a spin on Osmar, a name with two quite different origins. As a Brazilian choice, it's likely a compound name, blending together Oscar ("deer friend; God's spear"), Osvaldo ("divine power") or Ozias ("my power is Yahweh") with Adelmar ("famous noblemen" or Omar ("flourishing, long life; speak, say").
<BR></BR>
As an Old English name, it could be a modernized form of Osmær meaning "divine fame".
