Malti

Malti is an Indian floral name from the plant madhumalti — a tropical flowering vine that is known in English as the Rangoon creeper. In India, Madhu and Malti are often used as twin names or as a first/middle name combination.

Malti made headlines in 2022 when Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas revealed it to be the name of their baby girl. Chopra and Jonas took their daughter's name from the middle names of their mothers: Madhu Malti and Denise Marie.

Pronounced MAHL-tee.
