Lesli

Lesli is a feminine variant of Leslie, a name with Scottish origins derived from a place name meaning 'garden of hollies' or 'holly garden.' This spelling variation offers a distinctly feminine touch to the traditionally unisex name. While less common than the Leslie spelling, Lesli maintains the same melodic quality with a more modern, streamlined appearance. The name gained modest popularity in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s but has become less common in recent decades. Lesli projects an image of friendliness and approachability while maintaining a certain uniqueness that helps its bearers stand out.

Pronounced LES-lee.

As of October 2026, Lesli ranked #8138 in US births in 2025 SSA, peaked at #839 in 1967.
