Džana

Džana is a Bosnian variation of the Turkish boy name, Can (via the Bosnian Džan), or an alternative to the Turkish girl name, Canan. Literally meaning "soul" or "life" from the Persian jān, it has come to mean "sweetheart" or "darling" too, making this an endearing yet solid choice. Popular in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it ranked in the Top 50 in a recent year.
