Atigun

Atigun is the name of several places in Alaska, including a river and a mountain pass. It debuted in the US data for the first time in 2023, when it was given to 5 boys, but it has not seen much use since then. A cool option for those with ties to Alaska perhaps, though those unfamiliar with the place might read it as "antigun" at a quick glance.

While the exact meaning of the name is unknown, one suggestion is that it comes from atigi referring to an Inuit parka, specifically made with caribou (reindeer) fur.

Pronounced AT-i-gun.

As of October 2026, Atigun ranked #12412 for boys in US births in 2023 SSA.
