I like the sound, but I agree with alyssum that the association is not a good one to saddle your daughter with. Society already tells girls and women that their words mean nothing and should be silenced. Vesper would be a better option for a similar-sounding name with a better meaning.

It's not a name with a particularly pretty or encouraging or empowering image, which makes it kind of an oddball among word names. To me, it feels more like the equivalent of naming your daughter "Be quiet," or worse, "Shut up."

I like most word names, but it depends on the word. Whisper just sounds like a really random thing to call your kid.
