I think of a bird when I hear Theron- I think it's due to its close sound with heron. What comes to mind besides that is Charlize Theron, Theron from the movie 300, and the similar Theon from Game of Thrones. This is actually one of the fewer surname names I really like, and I think very distinguished yet also adventurous and cool.
