This reminds me of William Howard Taft, who has come to be known as the president who needed a much larger bathtub in the White House.

I think this would be a nice middle name but not so much as a first name.

My husbands Grandfather, Earnest Taft, is a wonderful, patient and faithful man and he probably wont live to see our fourth child born. Even if we have a girl I would like to give her Taft as a middle name. Love the meaning, especially with Elizabeth, which means "God is an Oath".
Just found out I am a descendant (9th generation) of William Howard Taft. I would use Taft as a middle name.
