From the experts:

One of the most lovely -- and most confusing -- of Irish names , Siobhan (this and not Siobahn is the correct spelling) is sometimes rendered in a phonetic spelling such as Shevon or Shavonne. But while that clarifies things, it somehow undercuts the name's beauty, not to mention its authenticity.

I know a girl name Siobahn and I think both she and this name are lovely though it took me two or three tries to learn to pronounce it. Still, since I have only ever met one Siobahn, I never forget her name. I would definitely consider this name because it is lovely and uncommon while not seeming absurd.

Incorrect spelling of Siobhán or Siobhan. "Siobahn" is incorrect and is not a legitimate name.
