Kester and Kit are both gorgeous, traditional-yet-modern spins on classic Christopher. They would make great nicknames, creative honour names or quirky standalone names in their own right. I prefer Kit, but Kester is awesome too. It does kind of sound like "kestrel", but I actually really like that!

I went to school with a boy names Kester. I never really understood it but now I think I quite like it. Definitely prefer it to Christopher and the meaning is nice. I can see it catching on in America, just need to get it out there!
