I like how it sounds. And I don't understand the "cheerleader hate

Nemnothet Says:

Someone told me I looked like a Kelsey and not going to lie it was probably the most insulting thing someone has ever said to me.

strawberry1117 Says:

This is my name and I HATE it. It was so popular in the 80s and 90s. I went to school with a tons of Kelseys- none of us spelled it the same way (having a common name spelled unusually doesn't make your kid special). It definitely feels like it's meant for a little girl or a cheerleader. Not an adult nor a professional. I started going by my middle name at 16.

kankhen Says:

I like the meaning of this name!

meaganegibson Says:

I like this name but my bestfriend's last name is Kelsay (pronounced like kelsey) so i always think of her

paulapuddephatt Says:

I agree. I like it, but don't see the point in so many variants. They don't improve upon this version for me.

paulapuddephatt Says:

I really like this name. I know that there have been so many popular names with a similar sound, and it did become too much, but this is sweet.

kelsimmariep Says:

Im a Kelsi, I have to say... i love this name. Dont know many people with it spelt like mine

berry_chick Says:

My best friend is named Kelsey, so I never had any negative connotations. I don't really like the variations though--Kelsy and Kelsea. I find them rather annoying and pointless.

ldougie Says:

I like this and also Kelsie.

Theodora_Phoenix Says:

I knew a Kelsey at the school I used to go to. She was always whining and making excuses and never did any work. I think the association has tainted, the name for me, but Kelsy and Kelsie are cool variations.

CocoWhite Says:

Something about this name sounds very "cheerleader" to me.
