I'm pretty sure 'grande' is the feminine French word for large as well

I know grande is the size but Ariana Grande's name reminds me of Caramel Macchiato or something like that. I guess I'm just used to the more popular Italian surnames like Russo or De Luca or Bianchi. Nothing against her name but Grande as a first name is just stupid. Would someone name a kid Forte just because they want them to be strong?

It means big or large. It's used for sizes of drinks, not the coffee itself. One would think they got the name the same way people with the name Small did.

This is just weird. Weird even on Ariana Grande, her name sounds like coffee. How did her family even get that surname?

I agree that Grande isn't exactly a name you'd want to give to your baby, but I do think it's got a nice Italian flair about it.

Wrong on so many levels. Besides the Starbucks reference (which should be reason enough) what girl would want a name that means big??
