I used to not like this name because it was the name of a girl I knew who was very rude to everyone, but I’ve put that negative connotation aside and now it’s one of my favorite names for a girl, prettier than the more popular Charlotte.

Charlica is another rare feminine form of Charles, and might be of interest to people who like Charlie for girls, but aren't keen on Charlotte. I love Charlotte personally, but a few people don't, or just feel that the name is too popular. I wish that the name was included on this site, but it isn't, currently. Google can provide more information, and you might come across my own recent blog post, about Charlica.

I recently met a little girl named Charlize, and some people call her Charlie while her parents call her Lizzie. It suits her to a tee and the name is awesome, but IMO it's too tied to Charlize Theron that I would hesitate on naming my child Charlize, since you'd probably be fielding constant questions of whether you're a fan of her- unless you love the name so much that it would be an annoyance you could live with.

Charlize is a lovely alternative to the more popular Charlotte, and it sounds very glamorous, elegant, lively and sassy- evokes the same imagery to me as Saskia does.

I can't decide if it sounds dated, or if it sounds just dated enough to be "vintage"-y. Either way it would make a good middle name to honor my father, Carl.

It's like an edgy Charlotte. I love it!!! As beautiful as Charlize Theron herself.
