This is my all time favourite name ever! I'm an absolutist, i've never even tasted alcohol, and frankly, i might be the only person in the world, but when i hear the name Chardonnay, i don't even think about alcohol.
I think it just sounds beautiful, it looks beautiful and something in it just speaks to me.
It's kind of funny how some names can make people react so strongly.

I think naming your child after an alcoholic beverage is sort of tacky.

Like with Brandy, why would you name your kid after alcohol?

I know a beautiful young woman named Chardonnai, I think its a great name. I was really taken aback by the comment as well. I would consider naming my daughter Chardonnai, and I've never even had the drink.

Brandy & Sherry are used but Chardonnay is a braver choice

"It's that Yoncé, your Yoncé in that lingerie on that chardonnay, scoring touch downs on your runway" all I can think of is the beyonce song lol

I know I'm not really apart of this but
1) that was unnecessary
2) she may be bitter, but you're VERY vindictive

People name their kids Jameson like the whiskey, Jack like the whiskey, Hennessy is a common last name, Remy like the brandy, I went to school with a girl named Champagne, and I have a neighbor named Alizé. Rick Ross calls himself Ricky Rosé. People name their kids after liquor all the time. I stopped judging.

Not for a poodle either. I'd sooner name my kid Harvey Wallbanger.

really? "If you're actually considering this as a name for your child, you must have had a glass too many. Save it for your poodle." my name is Chardonnay and I have gotten tons of compliments throughout my life about it. people are so quick to judge. and no, my mom is NOT an alchoholic.

Had it not been for the wine, this would probably be a lovely choice.
