Another name forever reminding me of The Sims 2. Calista Despret the nanny, anyone?

I'm always surprised that Callista isn't more popular, especially with the popularity of Cassandra, elaborate a- ending girl names and the accessible nickname Callie. It sounds very bright and lively and fresh. I'd always imagined a Callista to be a very put-together, has everything going for her type of smart, intelligent woman. Callie or Lissy are adorable nicknames that help me picture this on younger ages too.

To me this name really sounds like a skin condition, possibly due to it sounding like a combination of callus and blister. Callie cute though!

My two-year-old daughter is a Callista. :) I absolutely love her name and everyone else seems to as well. It's unique and special, yet not "made up". And it has a cute nickname -- we often call her Callie.

Seriously love this name and it's totally under the radar! The meaning is very special. I have never met someone with this name, very original.
