I don't know why this is on the Boys' 10 New Favorites list. The meaning is beautiful, but the name's association with the president of Sudan, Omar al-Bashir, ruins it for me because he literally does the opposite. Omar al-Bashir is the first sitting president indicted by the International Criminal Court for allegedly directing a campaign of genocide, rape, and pillage against civilians in Darfur. He is also associated with terrorist groups such as the LRA, Boko Haram, and ISIS, trading arms for illegally obtained ivory. There are many references online of the terror he has brought to central Africa over the last 25+ years.
