Jenniver is a feminine name that appears to be a variant spelling of Jennifer, which derives from the Welsh name Gwenhwyfar, meaning 'white wave' or 'fair spirit.' This alternative spelling emerged in the late 20th century as parents sought ways to personalize the extremely popular Jennifer while maintaining its familiar sound and heritage. Unlike Jennifer, which dominated American name charts in the 1970s and 1980s, Jenniver remains quite rare, giving it a distinctive quality. The name carries the same melodic three-syllable pattern as its more common counterpart but stands out in written form. Parents might choose Jenniver to honor family traditions while adding a unique twist, creating a name that feels both familiar and individual.

Jeniffer is a feminine name that serves as an alternative spelling of Jennifer, which originated as a Cornish form of Guinevere, meaning 'white wave' or 'fair spirit.' This variation maintains the familiar sound while offering a slight distinction in written form. Jennifer became extraordinarily popular in the mid-20th century, particularly in the 1970s when it was the #1 girls' name in America for several years. While the traditional spelling remains more common, Jeniffer has maintained consistent usage among parents seeking a subtle twist on the classic. The name carries the same friendly, approachable qualities as Jennifer while potentially feeling slightly more unique due to its spelling.

Aleanor is a feminine name that appears to be a spelling variation of Eleanor, a classic name with Greek origins meaning 'bright, shining one' or 'light.' This alternative spelling maintains the elegant sound and historical significance of Eleanor while offering a slight distinction. The traditional Eleanor has royal connections across European history, including notable queens and noblewomen. Aleanor, while much rarer in usage, carries the same sophisticated air and timeless appeal. The name has never ranked among popular choices, making it an uncommon alternative for parents who appreciate the classic Eleanor but desire something slightly different. The name suggests brightness, intelligence, and nobility of character, just like its more common counterpart.

Popular in Ireland, though not as popular as its spelling variant Eimear, Emer is a mythological name, associated with the legendary wife of the warrior hero Cuchulainn. She was said to possess the six gifts of womanhood: beauty, voice, speech, wisdom, chastity, and needlework.

While the exact meaning of Emer is unknown, one theory is that it means "swift" or "quick".

Pronounced as EE-mer, this form of the name was most popular in 1983, when nearly 200 girls received the name, placing it in the Top 50. A more recent year saw it given to less that 2 girls, however.

Other forms of the name include Eimer and Éimhear (said as EH-ver), along with the Scottish variant Eimhir (pronounced AY-veer).

Jinnifer is a feminine name representing a creative alternative spelling of Jennifer, which derives from the Cornish form of Guinevere, meaning 'white wave' or 'fair one.' This distinctive spelling variation emerged as parents sought unique ways to personalize a classic name while maintaining its familiar pronunciation. The double 'n' creates a visual difference that sets it apart from the more common Jennifer, which peaked in popularity in the 1970s-80s. Jinnifer offers a fresh take on a familiar name, potentially avoiding the need for nicknames or initials to distinguish from other Jennifers. While uncommon in official records, this spelling variant represents the modern trend of customizing traditional names to create something that feels both familiar and unique.

Bright and distinctive with a nature-related meaning, Azahar is taken from one of many titles for the Virgin Mary, in this case, Nuestra Señora del Azahar meaning "Our Lady of the Orange Blossom". Used at a church dedicated to her near Murcia in Spain, the title is used to reflect the abundance of citrus trees in the area, and because the sculpture of the Virgin there depicts her holding an orange blossom branch in her hand.

Pronounced as a-tha-AR in European Spanish and a-sa-AR in Latin America, the name ultimately comes from the Arabic zahra meaning "flower, splendor" or "brilliant, shining" depending on the spelling. It does therefore coincide with the Arabic masculine name, Azahar, used as a Malay and Bengali form of Azhar.

Wilmer as a feminine name is quite uncommon, as it traditionally serves as a masculine name of Germanic origin, derived from elements meaning "resolute" or "determined" combined with "famous." As a female name, Wilmer represents a modern trend of repurposing traditionally male names for girls. This Old Germanic name gained modest popularity for boys in the early 20th century in the United States but has since declined. For a girl, Wilmer offers a strong, distinctive choice with potential nicknames like Will, Willie, or Mera. The contrast between its historical masculine usage and contemporary feminine application makes it a bold, unexpected choice that challenges traditional naming conventions.

Wildflower may be the ultimate hippie name, added to the lexicon by Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden when they chose it as one of their daughter's middle names. It's generic in the way that Flora and River are, as opposed to Iris and Nile, say. But it has a certain free and creative charm.
