Elyott is a masculine name that represents a modern spelling variation of Elliott or Eliot. With roots in Hebrew and English origins, the name ultimately derives from the biblical name Elijah, meaning "my God is Yahweh" or "Jehovah is God." The distinctive spelling with a 'y' and double 't' gives the traditional name a contemporary twist while maintaining its classic appeal. While not among the most common boys' names, Elyott has seen increased usage in recent decades as parents seek familiar yet unique options. The name carries an intellectual, somewhat literary association due to figures like T.S. Eliot, while maintaining a friendly, approachable quality.
