Two Syllable Names for Girls

Voncile is a feminine name with American origins, emerging in the Southern United States during the early 20th century. It likely developed as a creative coinage combining the prefix 'Von' (from Germanic naming traditions) with feminine-sounding endings. Voncile saw its peak popularity in the 1920s and 1930s, particularly in states like Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. The name has a vintage, distinctive quality that reflects the American South's tradition of creating melodious, unique female names. Though rare today, it represents a fascinating period in American naming practices when parents freely combined elements to create new names. Voncile carries a genteel, old-fashioned charm with a touch of Southern elegance.
