Koazy

Nickname names and cutesy names have been on the rise in recent years as have alternatively spelled words and names featuring the letter Z. This modern invention combines all these elements and was used by British influencer Liana Jade and Connor Darlington for their son in 2022.

Inspired by the word cozy, suggesting warmth, closeness, and comfort, its spelling could have been influenced by the recently popular Koa, a Hawaiian name meaning "warrior" or "koa tree".

Cute and certainly distinctive, but not too far out there with the similar sounding Kobe, Kody, and Ozzy on trend, it is worth bearing in mind that the couple did receive backlash about Koazy's long term usability. If you do like the sound, you could consider using it as a nickname for Koa, or even for Cosmo, Kristopher, or Konstantin.

Koazy appeared in the England and Wales name stats for the first time in 2025, when nine boys recieved the name.
