Daymond

Daymond, with many different spellings most prominently Dayman, is an ancient English occupational surname and personal name, taken from the word deye which denotes someone who tended animals.

While its sound is part Raymond, part Damon, its centuries-long history gives Daymond an identity all its own.

Only a handful of baby boys were named Daymond in the US last year. Its best-known bearer is Daymond John, founder of the clothing line FUBU and one of the original Sharks on Shark Tank.
