gender neutral names I personally like

Chrys

Chrys is a feminine given name that functions as a shortened form of longer names like Christine, Chrysanthemum, or Chrystal. Its Greek origins connect it to the word 'chrysos,' meaning 'gold,'…

Cinnabar

Word name, English from Greek

"deep red mineral"

Associated with a vivid red-orange-colored lacquer, would make a more than distinctive color-related choice.

Citron

French

"lemon"

A Gallic twist on a word or nature name, which has a nice lemony feel.

Clem

English diminutive of Clementine, French

"mild, merciful"

Once a cowboyish old man name, Clem is now more commonly heard as a nickname for the fashionable Clementine, meaning "merciful one". Clemency, Clemence and Clementia are other possible long forms.

Comet

Word name, English from Latin

"comet"

Soaring astral name has a great gender-free feel. It also has a pleasing christmas connotation, courtesy of the reindeer listed in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Dane

English

"from Denmark"

This rarely heard name pares down all the ultrafeminine Dan names to one that's much more powerful, for both boys and girls.
